WE ARE TOTALIMPACTEQUESTRIAN
Total Impact Equestrian is Andrew van Oostrum and Sara Egan. Andrew already runs Total Impact Ltd, importing equipment for the music business, but in his spare time he is Senior master of the Staff College and Royal Military Academy Drag Hunt, based in Sandhurst.
Continued . . .
The SC & RMA is one of the oldest drag hunts in Britain, (meaning no live quarry is chased, just a scent line) Andrew's lifelong love of charging around the countryside on horseback has led to the inception of the equestrian division of Total Impact, as if life isn't busy enough with three children and 6 horses to manage! Andrew represented the country in the sport of tetrathlon where he discovered riding fast across country. This led to training and riding his own Point to Pointers and competing in team chasing, and is one of those people to be found jumping impossibly huge hedges among the pages of Horse & Hound.
Sara has shown horses all her life, in fact even the family dog didn’t escape and was shown as well! Having worked with horses including show jumpers, point to pointers and her great love show horses, the time came when working outdoors was too cold and she moved into the sales side of things thinking it would be warmer. How wrong she was. Most saddleries have a one bar heater thats only allowed on when the staff are turning blue, so after 15 years of this she is thrilled to be working for herself and having the luxury of 2 bars. Sara is the showring bling queen and if you need shine she’s the one to ask. When not sourcing spangly products she is to be found keeping the hunters fit and helping Carol Bardo with her yard of show horses.
